Hi welcome to what I hope will be a useful site both for students and teachers alike. My aim is to assist with home work activities that students in my present prac. class have at the moment. They are participating in an investigation that has them travelling to four different destinations around the world. They each choose there own and follow set criteria to complete the investigation. I believe that by accessing this site they can work on their tasks together getting encouragement from each other and getting feedback on their work straight away.
Each weeks work will be placed onto this site and the children will access it from home and through the school. There will need to be hardcopies of the tasks as there are several students who do not have access to the internet at home. This is the aspect of a Learning Experience Plan which is clearly outlined in the text Learning Management:Transitioning teachers for national and international change by Smith, Lynch and Knight (2007) Learning Management Question 4 "What resources do I have at my disposal?", with this in mind a Learning Manager needs to take into account the fact that not all students will have the required tools(computers and internet access in this example) so the Learning Manager needs to be sure they have the necessary resources prepared for these students.
